Rather than display the results of a cellular automaton as a time-phase diagram, these animations use a primitive single row display where the next step in the progression replaces the previous step. These are for Rule 026 and have different timings between steps ranging from 2 to 256 milliseconds.

The first row of animations shows an artifact of the grid. The second row just shows the cells. The third row is more playful.
